The Story

Styles & Storms are Robbie Styles and Emily Storms — a Detroit-based duo and real-life couple of 20+ years whose music sounds exactly like the crash of two worlds: the glam-soaked, mascara-streaked Hollywood underground and the gritty, hard-fisted rock tradition of Motor City.

Their sound is a modern collision of garage, glam, metal, and punk, shaped by decades of shared stage experience across the country's most storied clubs. It's loud, theatrical, and refuses to behave — celebrating their multiracial heritage and dual LA × Detroit roots without apology.

Their debut single, "Rumor" — a cover of the cult 1993 bubbleglam gem by Heart Throb Mob — drops June 8, 2026, featuring a surprise reunion with Eddie Electra, Robbie's former Peppermint Creeps bandmate, in their first public collaboration in over 15 years.

In less than a month of existence, Styles & Storms have amassed 1,000+ TikTok followers and 11,500+ likes, earned coverage in Junkyard Rock Stories, and appeared on the Tease the Nation podcast — with their first music video in production.

"RUMOR"

feat. Eddie Electra

Originally recorded by Heart Throb Mob in 1993, "Rumor" is a hidden gem of bubbleglam rock that most people never got to hear — until now. Styles & Storms bring it back with modern production and a unmistakable glam-punk edge.

The track marks something larger than a debut: it's the first time Robbie Styles and Eddie Electra have recorded together since the Peppermint Creeps' 2005 album, We R the Weirdoz. A reunion over a decade in the making, tucked inside a cover song.

The Heart Throb Mob connection runs deeper still — Heart Throb Mob was the former band of Traci Michaelz, the beloved creative genius behind Peppermint Creeps who passed in 2008. This recording carries that weight quietly, and with pride.

Background

Early 2000s
Peppermint Creeps' rebirth begins with the glam-punk classic album, Animatron X. Peppermint Creeps recruit Robbie in late 2004, cementing the most beloved and iconic lineup in the band's history. Peppermint Creeps' follow-up album 2005 album, We R the Weirdoz is released. With the 2007 release of Cover Up, the band is signed to Cleopatra Records. In addition to his contributions on guitar, Robbie Styles appears as co-vocalist across all three albums released during Traci's lifetime. The band earns MySpace's #1 glam band position across multiple stretches.
2008
Peppermint Creeps visioinary and Heart Throb Mob alumnus Traci Michaelz passes away. His life's work leaves a permanent mark on the Hollywood glam underground.
2009
While Peppermint Creeps might have ended, their catalog endures: nearly 1 million YouTube views, hundreds of thousands of Spotify streams, and nearly 1,000 monthly listeners to this day — 15+ years on even without the release of new music.
